Using Canvas SpeedGrader

SpeedGrader makes it easy to evaluate individual student assignments and group assignments quickly. As an instructor, SpeedGrader allows you to view and grade student assignment submissions in one place using a simple point scale or complex rubric. Canvas accepts a variety of document formats and even URLs as assignment submissions. Some document assignments can be marked up for feedback directly within the submission. Feedback can also be provided to students using text or media comments.

SpeedGrader displays assignment submissions for active students in your course. However, SpeedGrader displays assignment submissions according to the current Gradebook Settings for inactive enrollments and concluded enrollments. For instance, if the Gradebook settings show inactive enrollments, inactive student submissions also appear in SpeedGrader. In SpeedGrader, all values for an assignment are loaded and saved in the browser.  This behavior reduces load time while using SpeedGrader, allowing instructors to grade all submissions without continually refreshing the browser quickly.
